Attorney Kit Shannon and new husband, Ted is on their honeymoon aboard a luxury liner. It’s not long however until Kit is called upon to defend a fellow passenger accused of killing her husband. The woman professes her innocence and Kit must help, despite Ted’s reservations.
When they get home, Kit immediately begins the defense for the woman’s trial while Ted immediately gets back to work on his monoplane. A Hollywood filmmaker wants to make Ted and Kit the most famous couple in American. Not only will he film the wonderful monoplane, but also Kit’s life. Ted thinks it’s a great idea and good publicity for the plane and will possibly draw investor’s. Kit, however, isn’t sure so sure it’s the right thing for her.
As circumstances change Kit is troubled by events in her personal and professional life. Should she stay in the law business when it’s taking so much time away from her husband and marriage? But, how can she turn her back on those who need her?
When the pieces of the murder trial and her personal life fall into place, God’s hand is clearly seen. It’s a stunning end to a riveting ride! Like every James Scott Bell book I’ve ever read, A Certain Truth is a totally satisfying read. Good to the last period!
