PANDORA'S JUSTICE by Elaine Charton

Pandora Riley has come a long way from the abuse she endured from her husband. After ten years of it, she finally had enough and had him sent to jail.  With nowhere else to go, Pandora found safety in a shelter where she met Abigail.  She helped the girl find a home and started to work on her art.  She was beginning to have her freedom and life back after she heard the news her husband had died in prison.  The memories of the suffering she endured were still fresh but her daughter's nightmares could possibly come to an end finally now that he is dead.  At the urging of Abigail, Pandora had her first art showing and was a success.  Seems the poor little girl had become the toast of Boston overnight.  It was all up hill from there…or so she thought.  Six months after the opening, incidents started to happen…incidents that could only point to one person…Pandora’s dead husband.  Pandora, while reluctant, agrees to have Abigail’s future husband and his partner, Justin Andrews, investigate matters.

Someone knows enough about Pandora to make her run scared and that was the mystery.  It was Justin Andrews who started to take a personal interest in the case.  As an ex-cop, he knew how to get information and along with Abigail’s new husband, they tracked down every clue that lead them to a dead end.  It was Justin who suggested that Pandora and her two children leave
Boston and allow him to place them in a safer shelter--he didn’t want to risk the chance of whoever it was hurting either Pandora or the children.  But it seemed no matter where they fled some how the mystery man was not far behind.

To add to the matter, Justin was beginning to fall in love with Pandora but also had issues in his own past that needed closure before he could make a commitment.  True Pandora hadn’t thought about ever becoming serious again, but there was something about Justin that made her feel safe with him and the children adored him.  After her home was torched and she lost all her paintings, Pandora realized her nightmare was never going to end.  When at last she comes face to face with the stalker and she must face a decision.

I won’t give away the ending, but I will tell you it’s a great story.  It captures the reader from the first page.  I enjoy a good mystery and with a love story weaved into it; this book has so much going for it, it is sure to be a favorite with many readers.
