One wild
night will come back to haunt Mickey Coleman, a whiz-chick with an
amazing IQ
and great knowledge in astronomy. The
night she gets drunk and has a one night stand with a colleague is a
night
she'll never forget. Now being
blackmailed with the homemade sex tape from that night, Mickey has a
reputation
to protect and must get the tape back.
When she confides her situation to her friend, Beth,
who works at
Starbucks, Beth tells her that she knows the perfect man to help her
get the
tape back. Mickey, desperate to end this
disaster, decides to meet this man and ask for help.
Dressed in an ultra sexy disguise, Mickey
hopes she has found her man. Only, she
isn't prepared for the likes of one, Dominic Corlucci, who sets her
body on
fire with one glance.
The last
thing Dominic Corlucci needs in his already hectic life is a woman and
certainly not one as distracting as Mickey Coleman is.
A man with secrets definitely doesn't need a
woman who is hiding her own, but Dominic can't seem to resist this
“Foxy”
lady. Dominic is a man with a mission,
actually many, but it soon becomes a matter of necessity and of the
heart to
take care of Mickey first. Dominic
learns that sometimes when a person least expects it, the best thing
that could
happen to you, will be sitting in your chair at Starbucks....
Book two in
The Bachelorette Pact by Kathleen O'Reilly, It Should Happen
to You,
is an entertaining addition to this great series. In
an “I'll do for you, if you do for me”
scenario, Dominic and Mickey find themselves wondering when their lives
spun
out of control. I don't know if I have
ever met two more stubborn characters, but Dominic and Mickey's banter
back and
forth is at times like that of an old married couple and their
adventure is an
enjoyable and humourous one. Their few
engaging
discussions of stars, astronomy and their just being together are
magical. They compliment each other and
are made for
one another.
Having
never read Kathleen O'Reilly before this series, I
have to say
that her witty writing and freshness make this series all the more
enjoyable
and I am a fan for life! The enriching
friendships,
even during transitions, between the bachelorette’s are truly wonderful. Besides true love and family, there is no
greater relationship than that of friends, and Ms. O'Reilly depicts
this
realistically in her stories.
It
Should Happen to You is a non-stop pace and
an energizing read. The characters are wonderful
and each of the ladies have becomes friends to this reader. Kathleen O'Reilly is an author to watch,
she is a
shooting star in romance!
