Fredrika (Fred) Bimm spent her life being a freak.
Her mother was human, her father was a merman. It was kind of a given.
After years of adjusting, she has accepted she’d always be different.
Heck, different isn’t all that bad. But when the Undersea Folks went
public, the truth of her past became exposed. Now Fred found herself in
the spotlight when some misguided fool elected her to be the spokesman
for her people.
Then her life turned to hell. The humans were
fascinated with her and wouldn’t leave her alone. The Undersea Folk’s
distrusted her because her father was a traitor. Her current boyfriend,
the prince of the Undersea Folk, was pressuring for marriage, and to
make matters worse, the old love of her life, Thomas, returned to flip
her life upside down. And if things weren’t bad enough, the Undersea
Folks were disappearing. Now Fred and her unique group of friends must
all band together to find the truth or risk becoming the next victims.
MaryJanice Davidson has a fantastic talent for
humor that I can’t resist. Each page was so fast paced I couldn’t put
the book down. I absolutely adore the characters and the action. The
only thing that detracted from this book was that I learned this would
be the last in the series. I look forward to reading more work by this
wonderful author.
