Kennedy Blaine is
a California city girl but when she inherited the Circle Cross Ranch it
was time for a trip to Valentine, Nebraska. All her life she had been
told of the feud between her parent’s families: the Blaines and Morgans.
Kennedy’s parents not wanting to raise her in a harsh setting moved to
California before they had her. They never took her to visit Valentine
or her relatives there and only her father’s family the Blaines had ever
come to visit so her mother’s family was a mystery to her. When Kennedy
arrives at the Circle Cross Ranch unannounced she has a confrontation
with Derek Sterling who assumes she’s lying when she says she is the
owner. They quickly resolve things and before long Kennedy decides
before she can sell off the huge ranch she wants to spend the summer
there.
Before long
Kennedy is suddenly the target of harassment by someone who doesn’t want
her to stay in Valentine. But being the stubborn sort she decides she
will rely on God for her safety and starts to investigate who’s behind
her troubles. Her probe leads her to answers she’s not sure she can
face.
This book started
kind of slow for me but I kept reading and soon got pulled into the
story. The characters are well written and realistic. You see a
spiritual growth in the characters as the story progresses. The story
wasn’t predictable as I first thought. Everyone should go start reading
this new Love Finds You line and you can’t go wrong starting with
Valentine, Nebraska.
