Henry Wolfe always
seems to find himself in hot water without even trying to do it. The
mobsters were out of sorts because of the story he wrote on their boss,
he can not help it if they don’t like his writing. Once he escapes from
them, he finds himself agreeing to the Prescott family’s request he
travel to the jungles of Venezuela to find and bring home Louis, the
missing son. No white man has ever come out alive after entering these
jungles.
Henry and all the others on this next to impossible feat, are faced with
the restless natives, and dangerous areas with unseen foes. They are
also faced with the hard, cold facts, some of them may not come out
alive. But since the Prescott family is footing the bill and Louis’
sister is with them, they have no choice but to continue. Henry and his
friend and mentor, Max Joubert have been together before on adventures,
and have lived to tell their tales. This time it will take a much
higher toll unless Henry came overcome his disbelief and doubts about a
higher power keeping them safe.
Travis Thrasher is an author who thinks outside the box of Christian
fiction without going over the top. In this novel it has everything a
great suspense novel should have, mystery, lost people, murder and even
some funny moments. The struggles the characters have with their
beliefs and convictions are the same struggles readers have with
theirs. This was an amazing book from start to finish.
