Ria Rodriquez is undercover at a pharmaceutical company.  Her job is to find who is leaking information from Sanctuary to this company.  Mercury Warrant believed he lost his mate but finds himself falling in love with Ria.  Unfortunately their happily ever after is put on hold as Mercury’s dead mate reappears.

Mercury is an alpha male and Ria is the woman strong enough to stand up to him. This couple is very enjoyable to watch.  Both are very strong personalities and there is bound to be some clashes.  This is a powerful pairing of two complex characters. They are well-developed and we are privy to their thoughts. It works as readers will thoroughly enjoy their interactions. The chemistry between them is hot!  Ms. Leigh certainly knows how to increase the temperature of a room.  The erotic action is very stimulating and it is woven nicely into the storyline.   

There are lots of secondary characters but the most interesting are Jonas and Ely.  They are integral to the story and we would love to know what happens to Ely and who their respective mates are!  I hope their books are forthcoming soon!

Mercury’s War is the latest book in the Breeds series.  Once again, Ms. Leigh has produced an imaginative and emotional story.  Ultimately it is the story of how could Ria be Mercury’s mate when he knows his mate is dead that captures the readers attention.  Ms. Leigh does a wonderful job of telling this story.  It is fast-paced and the action is non-stop.  Readers will feel like they are on a roller coaster ride by the time they turn the last page.  Mercury’s War will increase interest in the next book and this reader can’t wait for it!
