Irmagard Friedrich
had dreams, big dreams. But no one could truly understand her. While her
father allowed her to visit her uncle, aunt and cousins where she could
try to live out her dream on their ranch, her mother could not agree to
it. And her dream was much bigger than most. It was to become Liberty
Belle.
Who knew that her mother and father would be pulling into the ranch just
as she was perfecting her new trick on her favorite horse, Diamond.
With her mother out cold, Irma had the agonizing task of waiting to
apologize while her mother got her senses back. Soon the apology with
her mother turned into a fight that Irma couldn’t handle anymore, so
before Irma knew it, she was running as fast as she could to get to
Diamond and hightail it out of the ranch.
Irma found herself at the ranch of Bill Cody, owner and founder of the
Wild Wild West, Irma’s dream job. Since her father and mother were good
friends with the Codys , Irma knew they wouldn’t mind if Diamond and her
stayed the night in the barn, since the reality was, Irma would not be
able to find her way back in the dark of the night. So that was how Shep
otherwise known as Henry Mortimer found her in the morning. And that
also was the beginning of a whirlwind of lessons about obedience,
forgiveness and love.
UNBRIDLED DREAMS by Stephanie Grace Whitson was a great western read.
Full of genuine characters that feel like they are pulled straight form
the pages of history. Ms. Whitson hit the mark. Shocking surprises will
hit you out of nowhere but end up teaching you the beauty of God’s
grace, mercy and forgiveness. Ms. Whitson is an excellent author and I
would suggest not only reading this book, but all the books Ms. Whitson
chooses to bless us with now and in the near future.
