Although each story in this series does stand alone, there is a continual evolution in the Psy-Changeling world.  The premise for this story is strongly tied to the previous story, and therefore, this review has spoilers from earlier in this series.

Ashaya Aleine had called in her IOU.  She was a Psy scientist working on a project at a high security location, yet she had managed to rescue two young children who would have been cruelly butchered in the name of science.  She had delicately walked a fine line between protecting those she cared about while keeping the project stalled.  Now she had managed to remove the last piece of leverage the Council held over her, and she could put her final plans into motion.

Dorian Christensen had once had Ashaya in his snipers sights and had allowed her to live.  A latent changeling, unable to shapeshift, Dorian had been slowly overcoming the traumatic loss of a younger sister by a Psy killer.  Now, here he was responsible for the safety, and well-being, of a Psy.

Hostage To Pleasure is another thrilling installment in the Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh.  The unfolding drama pertaining to the Council and their secret plots will keep the readers riveted.  However, it is the characters that are the heart of the series.  I adore all of them, and truly enjoy visiting with past couples.  My only problem is that I made the mistake of reading the excerpt for the next story to see whose it would be and I can’t wait!
