Summer Breeze,
Florida - I Saw It First, Trash to Treasure Shop
Christy Castleman thought her day was just going to be another ordinary
boring day at her shop until Zeffie Adams walks in with a jewelry box.
Christy Castleman feels bad that Zeffie needs to sell the box in order
to pay her grandmother’s medical bills. She offers Zeffie more money
than it is worth. When she examines the box, she uncovers a slip of
paper from the lining which happens to pertain to a cold case from eight
years ago. Against her family wishes, she decides to investigate this
on her own, since the murder happened not far from her grandmother’s
farm. What could possibly go wrong to ask questions at the Strickland
plantation about what happened almost a decade ago?
She soon finds out someone does not want her or anyone else to learn the
truth about the murder at the plantation. When she starts getting close
to answers, accidents start happening which to Christy means she is on
the right track. Can she solve a murder mystery before she becomes one
herself and can she get others to let go of the past before it’s too
late for them?
I enjoyed this book a great deal. Even though there is murder and
mayhem, there are some funny moments in the book. When Zeffie Got a
Clue is the third book in the cozy mysteries set in Summer Breeze,
Florida. Readers will enjoy this one as much as the first two.
