Now that Jennifer
Graham has accepted and adjusted to her life at Fairlawn Funeral home,
she can almost see a future in the works. Making the decision to study
and become a funeral home director, Jennifer begins to fall into a rut.
Studying, taking care of the boys and managing the funeral home has
taken a toll. Just when she realizes she needs a break, Jennifer is
invited to a book club.
While at the book club, Jennifer meets a young woman by the name of
McLane Larson. Somewhat shy and withdrawn, Jennifer eventually gets her
to open up and learns that her husband is in the military and is
currently serving overseas.
As McLane grows more and more comfortable with Jennifer, details of her
life begin to unfold which to Jennifer’s surprise, has a direct effect
on Jennifer and her life.
McLane soon is faced with a decision that forces Jennifer to choose
between their newly founded friendship and her own morals and beliefs.
Seeking God more than ever before, Jennifer questions whether she can
still salvage their friendship or if McLane’s decision weighs too much
for her to bear.
SHE ALWAYS WORE RED by Angela Hunt, is part of the Fairlawn series. With
a great first book, the second in the series is just as fabulous. Ms.
Hunt creates real life scenarios, which as a reader will take you right
in the midst of the characters’ mind while they are facing hard
decisions. Wonderful pick up from the first book and hoping for a third!
