Katie Parker is
starting to like her new foster family. Although her foster dad is a
pastor, her foster mom is just a little too straight and narrow and her
foster grandmother is just plain wacko. Life is starting to look up
since Katie has found a new best friend with problems of her own.
Unfortunately, it’s just the diversion Katie needs to get her out of her
own funk.
Tragedy hits Katie
hard when she learns that her stepmother has been diagnosed with cancer.
Feeling betrayed by God and everyone else around her Katie searches for
inner peace and a sense of security that she has never felt before.
In the midst of it
all, Katie auditioned for a play at her high school and won a part in
the upcoming play. Although she was hoping for a part playing the lead
role with the school’s heartbreak Trevor, she gets a minor role but is
still satisfied knowing she will still see him during rehearsals.
Surprisingly, Trevor shows some interest in her and Katie is quite
pleased with herself until she really sees what he is all about.
ON THE LOOSE by
Jenny B. Jones, is the second in the series Katie Parker Productions.
The first book was outrageously hilarious; this second one is a great
match to it. This is a must read for anyone with a good sense of humor
and may be looking for a little pick me up. I am definitely looking
forward to the next book in the series!
