When a childhood
accident leaves Rebekah Stoltzfus in a wheelchair she feels useless.
Growing up in a Pennsylvania Amish community Rebekah feels that no one
will want her for their wife and her whole heart longs to be a wife and
mother.
Rebekah has come to terms with the fact that she probably will never
marry and will forever be a burden to her family. Rebekah starts
searching for a way to be independent and finds a love in plants. Her
family encourages her in this endeavor.
Rebekah then meets Daniel Beachy who seems to pity her and Rebekah isn't
fooled by his pity she knows he only wants to get close to her cousin
and win her affections.
This book is the second in the must read set “The Brides of Lancaster
County” by Wanda Brunstetter she has outdone herself once again in a
memorable book that is hard to lay down once the reader starts . This
book is a true inspiration for me.
