Historical Inspirational

Catherine Newbury was used to the finer things in life. Her father had worked hard to make sure that Catherine was happy, satisfied and never without since her mother and brothers passed away from sickness. Quickly it is all taken away when, after a party, Catherine makes her way the kitchen for a late night snack, and overhears something that changes everything she has ever known.

Five years later, with her father now imprisoned and no one to care for her financially, Catherine must now decide on how she is to survive.  Soon, instead of putting on fancy dresses, she is making them. Now known as the renowned dressmaker Catherine Shay, Catherine is determined that she is known just as that and that Newbury is no longer remembered.

Unfortunately for Catherine, someone remembers her. Carter Danby, someone who she met while living in England, also lives in the same town she is currently residing in. When Carter’s mother and sister come in to request her services for Catherine to make the latest and greatest dress, Carter to her dismay is questionably looking at her. Soon she tries all that she can to avoid him and he tries all that he can to run into her.

A LADY OF HIDDEN INTENT by Tracie Peterson is the second in the series called Ladies of Liberty. As usual Ms. Peterson lives up to her reputation of being one of the best inspirational authors in the book industry. The only downfall is wishing her books would go on and on and last forever!
