Danny, famously known as Danny Gospel from the days when his family would sing gospel songs all over Iowa, was having a meltdown. He couldn’t understand why things just wouldn’t go right for him. But now he had a sign, a sign from God that things would turn around for the better.

In the midst of stress and troubles at his job, Danny decides to avoid work altogether. And that’s when it happens. A woman, almost like a dream or a mist, comes to give Danny a lovely and sweet kiss. Despite the strangeness of it, Danny decides that it wasn’t a dream and ultimately sees it as a sign from God to get on with his life, find the woman and be happy.

In Danny’s travels, he meets some misfits in which he decides he fits in very well. One particular woman, seems to be his match but knowing that he has unfinished business back home, Danny decides to leave the little piece of heaven he found and travel back home to face his consequences.

DANNY GOSPEL by David Athey, was a very strange book. It is full of fantasy and with characters that talk and don’t make much sense. This book is great for those who really like to think hard to figure out what the underlying message might be. This was not my particular cup of tea but for those who love mystical and fantasy books, this one is for you.
