After a long day at the Bobbie Sue
Cosmetics convention, Marty Andrews has had enough of her companion’s
none stop complaints. When their argument escalated, her teacup poodle
became agitated and combative, attacking a dog big enough to be a horse.
Marty panicked and set off after her little savior. The only thanks she
received for removing the miniature irritation from the overgrown beast
was a bite on her hand.
Keegan Flaherty waited a week before
showing up on her doorstep, hoping the accidental nip he gave the pretty
blond when in his wolf form wouldn’t have any consequences. No such
luck. Keegan tried to remain calm and rational around Marty and explain
that she would need his help with her transition from human to werewolf,
but the little compact bombshell had a way of twisting things around
until he didn’t know which way was up.
Marty wouldn’t
have invited Keegan into her apartment but for the way he looked and
smelled –one word – delicious. But when he claimed he was a werewolf and
she was now one, too, she kicked the whack job out of her life. But when
kidnapped a few days later, Marty called him for help. For you see, in
her anger, she learned in the most uncomfortable ways that Keegan
actually spoke the truth.
Whisked away to a
rich family estate was not a hardship for Marty. That she was the only
human turned werewolf made things more complicated, but she was
determined to stick around until the danger has passed. Between learning
to shift, getting along with the other were’s and trying to keep her
distance from one gorgeous pack leader, Marty had her hands full. She’s
just learning what it meant to have a family when it’s all threatened to
be taken away from her. She must learn to fight for what she wanted or
lose it all –including Keegan.
The beginning
opened a little shaky for me, but quickly picked up. Though this is a
fun-loving romantic comedy, there are enough action scenes to keep
everyone happy. The emotions from both Marty and Keegan keep me turning
the pages to find out more. ‘The Accidental Werewolf’ has a tongue in
cheek type of humor that carries throughout the book. If you are looking
for a fun, romantic comedy, don’t miss this wonderful read.
