Dancy Ames had a
great job at a major publishing house. But she wanted more. In fact, she
knew she deserved more and all she had to do now is convince the big
boss to agree. Unfortunately, with that plan not working out so well,
Dancy finds herself out of a job and heading for no where.
Lucky for her,
Dancy’s two best friends, Tabbi and Laini are always there to support
her. Surprisingly, as she patronizes her favorite coffee shop, the most
supportive person there actually becomes her future boss.
Jack Quinn, a
person of whom she has come to despise, decides to put his two cents in
everywhere. Not only in business, since he was the reason that she lost
her job, but now in her personal life. Now as she tries to avoid Jack,
each day becomes increasingly harder to do so, all because of a simple
little attraction to the man she would love to hate.
YOU HAD ME AT
GOODBYE, by Tracey Bateman was a very easy, laid back and funny read.
Dancy’s personality was sarcastic and comical. I pictured Jack as an
attractive Hugh Grant in my mind. While reading the book, I couldn’t
wait for the scenes for when they would come together. This is a
wonderful read for those who want a bit of humor and romance.
