Inspirational Contemporary

Mandalay Florentino,  an associate producer for a brand new hit reality show called American Megastar had just landed in a the small town of Daily, Texas when she began to seriously question herself. Not only had she always felt pushed and bullied into jobs by her not-so-wonderful boss, Ursula, but coming to the unbelievably slow county-like town of Daily was almost torture.

Imagene Doll, a new found widow, hadn’t seen much excitement in Daily, Texas in quite a long time, so when she spotted a stranger looking very much out of place, she knew that something big was about to go down. Introducing her self to the pretty Amanda Lee (otherwise known as Mandalay if Imagene could pronounce it right) was about the smartest and most exciting thing she could have done for herself.

Once Mandalay and Imagene decide to join forces in order to protect Amber and the big secret from the world, the excitement and whirlwind of situations begin! With Mandalay engaged, love and heartbreak was the last thing on her mind, but a stranger puts it all to a test. Imagene just made it day by day all the while missing her Jack, but never thought she could still enjoy life without him again.

TALK OF THE TOWN by Lisa Wingate had some great humorous moments. I loved the great chemistry between the characters that fell in love. Carter being so cool headed, easygoing and sweet and Mandalay was all woman with her thoughts and emotions. I felt a great connection with the two of them. Great book for those who like the feel of a slower paced book pace mixed with tidbits of humor
