Lauren Holbrook is
still in the matchmaking business. This time in involves her employer
and best friend Brandon and Hannah, the new receptionist at Brandon Knox
Photography. There is also Shawn, the guy at the coffee shop, since he
is so kind to feed her coffee and chocolate, why not look for his
perfect mate, as a thank you.
Lauren’s Dad
throws her a curve ball when he tells her he is going out of town for a
singles retreat. The last thing she wants is to have a step-mom coming
into her life. Then there is Ryan, she is not sure how she feels about
him, romantically or just as a good friend. She is rethinking her plan
of staying single in little bites, maybe she should just let God plan
her life and hope for the best.
This is another
smashing chick lit book by Erynn Mangum. The humor is nonstop and the
matchmaking efforts are sweet. Lauren is a top-notch character; she
fumbles a lot but keeps on going and keeps believing in happy ever
after.
