Ensign Rachel Whitney ends up assigned to a small
island in the North Pacific where she struggles among her male counter
parts to gain their respect. She is totally focused on her career with
nothing else in mind and the hopes that having an assignment on this
island with the well respected Lt George Hudson will help her career.
Along the way there were many twist and turns with her commanding
officer George Hudson. He seems a bit of a hard nose and strictly
business but the island holds secrets that end up driving George and
Rachel together in ways they could have never imagined.
It was a wonderful read and I hope to read more
from the same author. I'm able to picture the island and all the events
that happen there and had a difficult time setting the book down.
