Hope Ladley was a
sassy and free young woman. In Hope’s mind she was like a dandelion,
going wherever the wind blows. Realistically of course, she knew it was
the Lord who guided her steps. And who now guided her to Jacob
Stauffer’s farm and family.
Jacob Stauffer
didn’t know what to make of this strange woman and her mule. From her
tattered dress to her hat-wearing mule, Jacob had already ruled out that
he was in no need of help. But glancing over at his much pregnant
sister, Annie, Jacob knew that he had no other choice but to hire extra
help.
Konrad Erickson
didn’t deserve to be treated like an old ranch hand. If he had his way
he would be running the whole ranch instead of starving at a less than
mediocre farm like he was now. Since Jacob wasn’t sending him enough
money, Konrad was definitely ready to take it up a step and if that
didn’t work, consequences for Jacob and Annie would be great.
FOREVERMORE, by
Cathy Marie Hake was a funny and enjoyable read. The main character,
Hope, was quirky, sassy and a take charge kind of woman. Her character
was so different than the norm so it was very refreshing. I didn’t
quite feel a love connection between the two main characters, so it was
quite surprising at the end when feelings were divulged and confirmed.
Cathy Marie Hake is a great author and I look forward to reading more of
her in the future.
