Childhood friend
and heir to the De Leon plantation, Naldothe and the late Letty Marcus’
daughter Annathe Cook meet in Letty’s cottage on the estate following
her funeral. Circumstances have changed over the years and the two
friends find they are in opposing camps even as they discover a
passionate attraction for each other. Anna’s mother and Reynaldos father
had died within hours of each other and left behind a complicated legacy
for their children.
In his will,
Naldos father leaves Letty a cookbook of the famed De Leon recipes for a
line of products that rake in millions for the estate and the cooks
cottage. Anna inherits both. In addition to the cottage that breaks up
the four-hundred-year-old estate, Naldo reveals that his father had
given Letty jewelry that was part of the De Leon heritage.
A failed marriage
has made the once optimistic Anna cynical and suspicious of the world in
general and men in particular. Thus, when Naldo offers to buy back the
cottage and jewels, she refuses to sell her memory-filled refuge despite
needing money. Her beliefs are further shaken when she finds out about
the relationship that had blossomed between their parents. As Anna and
Naldo give in to their growing attraction for each other they have to
deal with both the material legacy left to Anna and the romantic legacy
of the relationship between Letty and the older De Leon.
Naldo negotiates
with Anna to piece back his inheritance but in the process falls deeply
in love with the frail but passionate young lady. Together, after many a
misunderstanding and finally a brush with death, they learn that their
emotional inheritance is more lasting that any fleeting material ones.
Seduced for the
Inheritance is a bittersweet romance that finds a heartwarming way out
of misunderstanding that are so very common in the world we live in
today and reveals that in the end what really makes the world go around
is love not money. It’s a reminder all closet romantics need once in a
while. So don’t forget to pick up your copy at the earliest and revel in
this triumph of love!!!
