After five years
of marriage, devastation hits Maddie and Jeff Bowman like a tornado.
Where once they were a loving and passionate couple, now left behind in
the aftermath of tragedy, lies a couple devoid of emotion and love. Now
on the brink of a divorce, Maddie and Jeff decide they have nothing left
to lose.
Maddie Bowman
desperately loves her husband. But when her husband mentions that
divorce seemed to be the answer, nothing could have prepared her for
anything worse. Accepting the pending divorce as the only option, Maddie
focuses on her “house of perfection” while ignoring the emotions raging
inside her everyday. But fortunately for her, God has a plan in the form
of a seven year old boy.
Unhappy and
frustrated, Jeff Bowman decides that divorcing his wife is the only way
out of the hell hole he’s been living in. Since his wife didn’t
disagree, Jeff’s anger fuels him even more. Rude and snide remarks begin
to flow more easily out of his mouth and onto his wife’s ears. Even the
“hottie” at work seems to look more appealing to him. Ultimately, Jeff
realizes that healing is what he needs.
THROUGH EVERY
STORM by Sharlene MacLaren was an exceptional read! The characters were
created in such a true to life nature that you could feel their hurt,
anger and wide range of emotions. Never have I connected with characters
as much as when reading this book. This is an author I will definitely
recommend to my friends and family! Mrs. MacLaren writes with purpose,
not only to heal but to change lives.
