Maggie MacAuley and her husband, Jonathan are summoned back to Skingle Creek to help with a family matter.  While they are willing to help, they are disappointed they had to cut their honeymoon short to do so. 

The coming days are a blur as everyone affected are trying to come to terms with what happened.  As newlyweds, Maggie and Jonathan’s love is tested to its limit during this crisis.  Their faith and strength they have for each will help guide them through rough patch. 

This is a beautiful story by a talented author.  The Mountain Song Legacy series is based on B. J. Hoff’s novella, The Penny Whistle.  This reviewer did not want to give away too much of the plot, wanted to avoid spoiling it for the fans of B. J. Hoff.
