Patricia “Tish”
Amble does not like to have moss growing under her feet. She buys
houses that are in need of a ton of tender loving care. This time she
has chosen a Victorian house in a small town in Michigan. This house is
really going to challenge her imagination.
When Tish
discovers a body in the basement no one believes her. No one but her
seems to see the body. She can not seem to get a contractor to come
remove the body. She also seems to have men problems: her neighbors,
one from England, the computer expert, the other one the handsome local
cop. They are tripping over themselves to impress her. When she is a
suspect in the murder, she is fearful her own secrets will come back to
haunt her.
I found this to be
an impressive start to a new series from a new author. The gothic in
this novel is brought to a new level, fresh and new for today’s market.
There are two other books planned for Tish and her adventures. This is
worth waiting for.
