How do you know
when you should reveal a secret? Simone is a psychic who’s still trying
to get control over her gift, but she knows more than she’s letting on
when she meets policeman, Connor Galbraith.
Simone sees
something dark in Connor’s past, and her psychic aunts tell her she
can’t reveal all that she feels when she receives impressions from the
handsome man. Further, her visions tell her there is no future for her
with this policeman. So why is she so drawn to him?
Connor uses
Simone’s psychic ability to find a kidnapped child. While he’s
skeptical of her gift, she locates the missing child. The rub to that
is that if she isn’t psychic, she must be one of the bad guys. His
attraction to her overpowers his objectivity.
Crossing the Line
is a story about a policeman crossing the line between personal and
professional and a psychic determining what she can safely divulge and
what she needs to keep hidden. I’m not quite sure what the consequences
of telling too much would be - opening a portal - but Simone seemed
concerned about it. The plot was passable and the characters engaging,
but I found this story hard to read. The dialog was stilted and there
were some editorial errors that were missed. My apologies to the author
knowing how much hard work goes into writing, but I’m afraid I wouldn’t
recommend this one.
