Gabby is an independent woman who thinks she has her life all figured out.  She is comfortable with her life and is not ready for change.  She meets Travis, her neighbor, in an odd way.  While he is gung-ho about her from the very beginning, Gabby already has a live in boyfriend.  Travis continues to peel away at the layers of self protection Gabby has.  As their relationship builds you see the growth in both characters and long for the inevitable happy ending. But what you get is their ups and downs, and twists and turns. 

Another great read by Nicholas Sparks.  Always taking place somewhere in the NC shores Sparks is able to turn you inside out waiting to see what is going to happen next. Ah, you think you have it figured out but no.  This is my first review and even though I have read all of his books to date, I don't want to give too much away.   

Read it you won't be disappointed.
