Kate Campbell knows how to wield a sword.  She isn’t afraid of battle and would willingly charge into the fray.  Callum MacGregor is the man most refer to as “the Devil”.  He saves her from death and takes her as his prisoner.  The Campbells are his arch enemy as they have killed many MacGregor lairds.  Callum plans to ransom Kate but she has plans of her own. 

Kate is the kind of heroine that will win the hearts of many including Callum.  She is intelligent, brave and kind.  She also has a fiery streak that will test a man’s patience. Callum is a man who does his best to resist her but fails.  He is typical of the male hero of that time, stubborn and very macho. It is a battle of wills between these two as their story progresses.  They try to get the best of each other but only succeed in falling in love instead.  It is truly an adventure watching them go at it.  Of course, the path toward true love and happiness is filled with potholes along the way.  Kate and Callum have many obstacles including their respective clans who despise each other.   

Laird of the Mist is a wonderfully written tale that will sweep readers into the Scottish Highlands.  The lead couple provides plenty of entertainment and moves at a quick pace.  Laird of the Mist is action-packed with lots of romance and passion.  It is guaranteed to please all those who love their historical romances.
