Katie Parker finally left the fabulous spa resort also known as orphan home for girls to go and be with the family of her dreams. Her perfect and new foster parents are just what she ordered, that is until she meets them. Katie disguises her fear with her quick and sarcastic sense of humor but most people see past that in a matter of minutes. 

So far so good for Katie as she settles into any girl’s dream bedroom and gets bowled over by the biggest, friendliest dog that she’s ever seen. School was a whole other matter. Fitting in for Katie has never been easy and her new principle already has doubts from their first meeting in which she very vocally voices her concern. Thank God for her new foster mom, Millie who shows Katie what being love and protected feels like. 

But nothing prepares Katie for Mad Maxine, Millie’s mother. Katie is shocked that a woman as old as aged cheese, who spews out insults like a water hose gone mad is truly and crazily taken a liking to her. Because of this Katie learns that love comes in many different colors, especially God’s. 

IN BETWEEN by Jenny B Jones, was by far the most outrageous, hilarious fun-filled book that I have read this year!  Perfect for teens as well as adults! I loved each character, all the humor and the beautiful ending! This is definitely a new author to put on your list of favorites!
