Alice Kessler’s
life is pretty typical. Married with two boys, Alice comes from a small
island where everybody knows everybody. Suddenly, tragedy rears its ugly
head and turns her happy family upside down and inside out. Alice’s
marriage becomes strained and Alice copes by moving full force into
achieving justice for the wrong her family has been put through.
Owen White, whom
she held responsible for her family’s tragedy, finally gets brutal
payback from none other than Alice herself. Nine years later, Alice
must deal with the repercussions of her actions, while Owen quietly but
forcefully rules the hometown in which they live.
After, losing his
wife through one of the most tragic events the world has ever known, and
spiraling out of control with his alcoholism, Colin McGinty finally
decides to take charge of this life. Every summer when he was a kid,
Colin would visit his grandfather, who was a famous artist. Memories of
his grandfather suddenly propel him to finally acquire the inheritance
that his grandfather left for him. As Colin unravels his life, a romance
with Alice blossoms and questions from the past answered.
WOMEN IN RED, by
Eileen Goudge was a phenomenal read! Beautiful story telling filled with
real emotions that are handled in a most ingenious manner. Storylines
flow extremely well and allows the reader to pull all the missing pieces
together with ease. I usually read inspirational fiction, but her
storyline pulls you in no mater what type of story you are used to
reading. She exceeded my expectations and I look forward to reading more
from Ms. Goudge.
