When Francie
Stevens saw Clay, she knew by one look that he was trouble. With too
much sex appeal and confidence, he was the type of man that never heard
the word no from a woman’s lips. When she learned she was being framed,
that her computer was being used to hack into confident files at work,
she volunteered to help in any way she could. Too bad that meant working
with him.
As a magic practitioner and computer genius, Clay Morgan knew his life
would never be normal or predicable. When he saw Francie for the first
time, he didn’t need magic to tell him she was someone special.
Unfortunately, her defenses were well in place, and no man would get
within a ten foot radius of her without being shot down. To avoid making
the hacker suspicion, Clay suggested they begin to date. It should give
him enough time to work his magic on her computer and its owner.
After the first few dates, Francie wondered if maybe she misjudged Clay.
He was a gentleman and, each new day, she looked forward to learning
more about him. But when he used the term soul-mates and explained his
past, she knew he was like all the others, willing to do anything to get
her into bed. Disgusted, Francie backed off. Clay knew she didn’t
believe him, but he refused to give up on the one woman who was made for
him. It was time to spice up their relationship with a little magical
help. Now all he had to do was catch a hacker, keep Francie safe and
convince her that magic really exists. No problem.
The main plot of Do You Believe In Magic? is the romance, the mystery
only a small section of the book. The interactions between the
characters easily snared my attention and at times, made me smile at
their antics. The romance between Clay and Francie is both sweat and
sexy. The only thing that detracted from my enjoyment was when the
characters described the same scene and had similar, if not the same
thoughts. This is book two in the magic series. Pick up a copy of Do You
Believe In Magic? because, who couldn’t use a little magic in their
life?
