Judd Lauren had escaped with his family
to the unexpected safety the SnowDancer wolf changelings. He and his
brother had brought their remaining family out of the Psy control in
order to protect the children. They had never expected to also be
allowed to remain, and remain alive as well.
Yet Judd had no
illusions about his welcome if the wolves knew the truth about his
past. As Psy, emotion is erased from them as children. However, as an
Arrow, Judd had methodically been pushed beyond that. He was a trained
assassin.
Brenna Shane
Kincaid knew that Judd was not her bondmate, but it was he who she felt
most secure with. She had been the victim of a vicious attack, and knew
she had changed. Now she is having visions and Brenna worries that the
mental and physical attack threatened her sanity.
Nalini Singh has
created a mesmerizing series involving the Psy and Changeling. In
Caressed by Ice, we revisit Brenna who had been so brutally assaulted in
Slave to Sensation (Book 1). She has been healing slowly, and she
wishes to pursue a relationship with the outsider Judd. She believes
that she sees interest behind the icy demeanor created by Silence. Judd
finds himself inexplicably drawn to Brenna, but knows that he cannot
break Silence. He has powerful abilities, and it is only by Silence
that everyone can be protected. This series is utterly amazing and I
unfortunately read the excerpt to the next story and am impatiently
awaiting it! I highly recommend this story, but also suggest starting
from the beginning of the series.
