Susan Mitchell was the epitome of a mother. In the midst of running her four children back and forth to their commitments, taking care of home, and keeping her marriage healthy, she began to feel overwhelmed and overworked. Fortunately for her, her adoring husband Mark noticed that she needed a change. When Mark introduced his plan to convert some space in the attic to a “Mom getaway”, Susan could hardly hold back her excitement.

Soon, Susan finds herself tucked away in her own world. With a journal and Bible in hand, Susan is deep into her own thoughts when she starts to hear noises in the far corner of the attic. Upon investigating the noises, Susan is suddenly mixed up in a whirlwind and is transported to another world with such a force that she is knocked out cold. Upon waking up, Susan encounters strange and foreign   events, rituals, places and people.

Through her relationship with God, Susan eventually realizes that He, otherwise known as “The One“, is taking her on a spiritual journey with a purposeful mission. As she learns to surrender to “The One” her purpose is revealed and she is soon christened, The Restorer.

THE RESTORER, by SHARON HINCK is an action-packed, mind boggling, adventurous ride! Ms. Hinck grabs you from the fist few pages and never lets you go!  As a mom myself, I could relate to so many Susan’s thoughts, desires and prayers. I found myself laughing all throughout the book due to the down to earth personality of the heroine, Susan. If there was a grade above A plus, Ms. Hinck would have it!
