Ray Slewinski
wanted what most guys his age wanted….to be accepted. From the time he
was young he knew he wanted to be a part of the Latin Kings. Watching
the group from afar he could see that they had everything they needed.
Money, girls and cars. Now his time had come and he had made friends
with the best of them.
Ray’s buddy, Rico
was already a part of the Latin Kings, so Ray knew it was high time that
he proved that he could be a part of the Latin Kings also. His
opportunity came sooner than he expected. One day while loitering around
a fast food joint, Rico, Ray and some other Latin Kings spotted a car
full of guys. As they rode by, Rico and the others determined that they
were a part of a rival gang called the Gangster Disciples. And that was
the day that Ray made the wrong choice.
Years, later Ray‘s
life was headed nowhere. Ray was stuck on a path that lead to nothing
and he knew it. Because of that, Ray determined that he might as well
keep tight with the Latin Kings. But God had bigger and better plans
than what Ray could have ever dreamt.
FORTY TO LIFE by
Dave Jackson was a story about choices that people struggle with in
life. This book arouses questions within your self when trying to
determine how you would react to pressure when having to make a
life-changing choice. In this book God is made real even in the darkest
places and miracles happen even when all hope is lost.
