Chieftain Kieran MacAuley is left for dead in battle.  He is saved by Brynna Ryan who throws herself over his body pretending to be a grief-stricken widow.  She receives permission from her mother, Maire, Fairy Queen of Meath to heal him and help him find his way home.

Kieran returns to Dunsmere without any memories of Brynna but he is haunted by what he has forgotten.  Fate leads him back to Brynna as he finds a woman beaten and left for the dead on the road.

Kieran and Brynna is a lovely couple that will win the hearts of readers.  Brynna is a tough woman who has suffered quite a lot but yet she still has a tender heart.  Kieran is a man that any woman would love to call her own.  Kieran is capable of great tenderness but the alpha male does come through on occasions.  Brynna is a perfect match for him as she has a few tricks up her sleeve.  The chemistry between them is apparent at the beginning of the book but the author builds on it and it becomes a passionate relationship.  How their relationship progresses and develops will tug the heartstrings of readers and make them fall in love with this couple. 

Fearless is an entertaining romance interwoven with paranormal aspects.  It is an action filled story featuring some very likable and interesting characters.  Ms. Wilder successfully combines the paranormal within her story thus making it seemed very normal that Kieran would have a Fairy Queen for a mother-in-law.  Fearless is a rich and magical journey that will sweep the reader into another time period.
