Let me begin this review on a personal note, my passion for Greek mythology has left me partial to the Greek alpha male hero and Kate Hofman's latest with the "half Greek tycoon" Alexander Karagiannis was an absolute gem. Tall, dark, and handsome personified, Alex's showed all the positive traits and almost none of the negative ones that burden the typical Greek hero in romances making him truly the ideal—fantasy personified.
A Greek Love Story is an adorable story of how 32-year-old widow Nissa MacLean and 37-year-old "half Greek tycoon" Alex meet, fall in love, and take the inevitable journey to marriage. Really your average romance formula but what makes Kate Hofman's story unforgettable is its sweetness, the well-rounded characterization of the lead pair and their interesting friends/family.
It is love at first sight for Alex when he meets Nissa helping out his temporary handicapped half-sister Louise in a quaint coastal community in Florida. Nissa is a successful fiction writer with emotional baggage from her previous marriage, but She is swept away by the gorgeous but sweet Alex. How the two get used to the wonderful love that has blossomed an begin to trust in that miracle is what all this story all about. Adding an extra dimension of their new relationship are the wonderful community of writers they interact with. Their lifestyle, the conversation, the pleasure they find in each others company makes the entire story seem more real, more than just your average romance. Nissa—who is one quarter Greek, with a name meaning "a new beginning"— finds her new beginning with Alex and after a few twist and turns finds her fairy tale happy ending.
From Florida to New York to a private Greek isle, the couple slowly discover what a perfect match they are for each other. All in all really nice story and the reason why we all pick romance. So don't forget to pick Kate Hofman's "A Greek Love Story" asap.
