This sexy sci-fi quickie focuses on Tasha, a runaway princess, and Cade, the bounty hunter sent by her father to drag her home. Tasha is fleeing from an arranged marriage to a prince she doesn’t want, but is caught by Cade before the story begins. Passions rise between the two as they journey back to her homeland, and between lusty interludes (and even during) they discover that they have more in common than they’d have guessed.
For such a short story – under 10 pages – the characters are well developed: Tasha’s mixture of sexiness and determination makes her a very likely lead female, while Cade is a classically hot bad-boy. It’s not hard to see why Tasha fancies him: his come-back lines and wicked sense of humour are definitely to-die-for. The sex is definitely steamy, and touches on submission/dominance themes. This is a lovely story if you’re looking for a quick, satisfying tale with likeable characters.
