What is my purpose in life? Am I fulfilling my purpose? God has a
purpose for us all, but how do I find mine? Have you ever asked
yourself these questions? I know that I have! And I'm sure many
other Christian women have these same questions. The journey to find
our purpose in life is often a driving force, but without a guide, the
goal is easily lost.
According to author Erik Rees, everyone has a unique S.H.A.P.E. That is, we have unique Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and
Experiences which equal our S.H.A.P.E. These things have 'shaped' us into who and what we are, and can lead us to our purpose in life.
In his book, S.H.A.P.E.: FINDING AND FULFILLING YOUR UNIQUE PURPOSE FOR LIFE, Rees helps Christians uncover their God-given
purpose in life, a purpose which, at first, may seem to be hidden.
Throughout our lives, our gifts, abilities, personality and
experiences have been molding us into what God wants us to be or to
become. Even our flaws are one-of-a kind – and these 'flaws' may
help us find our purpose. In order to find our purpose, we need to
accept who we are, flaws and bad experiences included, and realize
that we are all as God made us: special.
