It’s the day before Tahn finally gets to marry Lady Netta, who is leaving for her bridal party to be held at the House of Eadon. Tahn can’t seem to shake the uneasy feeling
-- he's not so sure that they could truly be past all the prior
problems. When she's late getting home, Tahn rides on horseback with a group to see what’s taking Lady Netta
so long. His greatest fears are realized when they find some of the bodies of Netta’s
guardsmen and the carriage on its side. Tahn immediately rushes back to tell Netta’s father and makes the decision to track the bandits who’ve done this before the rain washed all away his chances.
Meanwhile Netta struggles with her captors as Tahn begins his search for his love.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. When you think you know what will happen it changes. For me this story was one of true love. Tahn is willing to give his life for his true love. But the story is also a tail of true forgiveness. The book teaches that we should give the same forgiveness God grants us.
