Returning home to the Highlands, Gareth and his companions are ambushed and only he is left alive. Injured, and on the way to the grave, Gareth is rescued by a mysterious woman.

Roxanna, a vampire princess, is loosed from the bottle she’s been imprisoned in, and she’s famished. After feeding on the evil ones surrounding her, she finds Gareth, injured and dying, and decides to save him so that she may feed on him later if she has the need. She must find her old foe, Kivar, and defeat him, and for that she will need blood to keep her strong.
As she tends his injuries and keeps him alive, slowly her feelings for Gareth begin to change, and soon she knows that she does not want him for blood, but for love. Knowing that Gareth will despise her if she tells him the truth, she keeps her secrets to herself as they both seek to find Kivar before he causes more harm to the world.
Lucy Blue has crafted a fabulously inventive tale in DARK ANGEL. Her characters are rich and detailed, the romance has depth and substance, and her setting is outrageously realistic. Blue has intertwined the supernatural tale of a vampire princess so skillfully with the historical aspects of the Highlands that fans of both the historical and the paranormal genres will be delighted with DARK ANGEL.
