Sarah is proud to be an independent woman. Although her co-worker Helen constantly tries to play matchmaker with her, Sarah determines that she doesn’t need a man in her life. She stands by the old adage that “Man will always fail you but God won't.“
As a Police Dispatcher, Sarah loves her job and makes it her business to know just about everyone in each Police Township that she dispatches for. Hiding behind her beliefs, Sarah comes to realize when encountered by a police officer from a town she isn’t familiar with, she is absolutely terrified. She doesn’t understand the strange feelings beginning to manifest within her and runs away when faced with the officer.
Dylan Eldredge believes it’s love at first sight. While seeing Sarah in a coffee shop one day, he leans over to his fellow police officer Matt and confesses his intentions of marriage if only one small detail is confirmed concerning Sarah.
As Sarah’s past comes to light, Dylan realizes that Sarah is definitely worth the cat and mouse game she plays. With prayer and determination Dylan strives to break through the tall barriers that have risen around Sarah’s heart. Sarah on the other hand wrestles with her emotions until she finally allows herself to be positioned in a place where God can work on her heart.
