It doesn't matter how many skills you have -- in show business, age is everything. So when veteran Evie Parish loses out on a job she could do better than any of the younger women at the audition, she loses it. And the job. Desperate, she accepts a
gig she really doesn't have a clue about.
Before she knows it, she's pretending to the ditzy but loving wife of an older man aboard a cruise ship. She doesn't know why, but she does know that when her older husband takes off his make-up and fake wrinkles he's not so old. And he's not just any man -- he's part of a team of ex-con men who use their 'talents' to catch other con-men.
He's sexy, sensitive, smart and Evie is instantly attracted.
Now that she's in the thick of it, Evie has to trust her instincts and hope she can convince her 'husband' to trust them too.
Beth Ciotta's ability to write comedic characters never lets me down. I knew from page one that I was going to enjoy ALL ABOUT EVIE and I was right. Evie is zany but full of heart, Arch was sexy but flawed and the secondaries were an interesting bunch as well. Regardless of the setting or the circumstances, if you love character driven stories that will entrance and entertain you, Beth Ciotta is a must buy.
