Wolf Mates contains four books about the Adam’s family and their unusual life as a pack of misfit werewolves. Watched the Adam’s as they play, fight and ultimately fall in love.
In An American Werewolf in Hoboken Max Adams is on a mission. He must locate his destiny and convince her that he is her mate or a curse would destroy his life. Because of his stubborn nature, he waited until the last moment. Now it might be too late. JC Jensen wanted a family and happy ever after. When that didn’t happen, she decided a companion would be the next best thing. She went to the pound and returned with a mongrel. This male was perfect for her. Too bad he wasn’t human.
The humor hit off right away. Some good descriptions and very distinctive characters really made the story come alive. The story started off a bit shaky for me but it improved the further I read. Be warned, some of the characters vocabulary became a bit graphic.
What’s New Pussycat tangles werewolf Derrick Adams with werecat Marine. Derrick has only ever wanted a normal family. When his brother married a human, it was up to him to find the perfect mate and carry on the family bloodlines. In stepped fate. Marine has never been away from her Wizard protector. So when she woke up in a kennel, she was not pleased. But when new owner Derrick entered the picture, she paused. She might not want to mate for life, but no one said she couldn’t enjoy him while she had the chance.
I adored the humor in this novel. The characters by themselves were wonderful, but together, their interaction, really made this a fantastic read. The quick pace and good ending made this a wonderful novel. Loved it!
Moon Over Manhassett is the story of misfit, Julia Lawrence. Though a werewolf, Julia has never been ‘one of the pack’ as it were. She marched to her own tune, thank you very much. So when Xavier Wolf walked into her life, he threw her for a loop. He was a werelion, she was a werewolf and never the two should meet. But the attraction was mutual and undeniable. Without preamble, they fall into bed. Too bad falling in love wasn’t so easy. Or is it?
The characters were not always likable but the ending changed my opinion. It really showed how the characters grew. They were perfect couple. Xavier was an enduring male when trying to please her and his role really made this book a good read.

In the story Ruff and Ready, Emerson Palmer wages a war on behalf of the Adams family when they lose part of their land to an outsider. Unfortunately, sexy Lassiter Adams was just as stubborn as her. When in the same room, sparks fly... enough to start the whole forest on fire. Lassiter couldn’t get loud-mouth Emerson out of his thoughts. She irritated him. Annoyed him. Infuriated him. She was also the only woman he wanted. A feud and a secret put them on opposite sides of the fence. Maybe it was time to take the fence down altogether.
Great characters, wonderful description and fabulous sexual tension kept me fascinated. The surprise ending and wonderful wrap-up pushed this novel over the top and made it my favorite. The prologue really put things in perspective and finished off the perfect anthology. Fantastic job Dakota Cassidy. Wolf Mates is well worth the read.
