A Colton Parker Mystery
br>
P.I. Colton Parker is hired to find the possible son of dying multi-millionaire Berger Hume. Berger wants to make peace with this son he never knew before he dies, but even with all his money, he can’t just make it happen. As Berger lay dying his two sons who he has known, scheme almost as if they can’t wait for him to die.
Berger’s lost son is involved with motorcycle gangs and when Colton penetrates their secure realm, it’s as if his personal hell breaks lose. Soon, Colton is running against time to find the son and save his own daughter.
The Root of All Evil is the best of the three Colton Parker series. Dodson’s write is sharp, meaty, and suspense filled. There are twists and alley’s we don’t want to go down, but find ourselves padding alongside Colton, maybe even holding our breath, as we track down the villains. Yet, Colton is never cheesy. He is smart, real, and vulnerable, but he gets the job done.
There have been only two authors whose P.I. novels intrigue me – one of those is Brandt Dodson. The Root of Evil will reveal why he is a favorite and why hope, courage and faith go often hand in hand.
