When Monica, or Nica for short, takes in an injured stranger, her brother Cameron fears his sister is being taken advantage of again. The injured person who Nica decides to call Jade does not know her name or what caused her injury. Jade begins to heal, and she keeps trying to remember who she is. Cameron and Nica finally convince Jade to see a neurologist who confirms Jade’s amnesia is real. Jade begins to call on God and realizes she must be a believer because it feels so right to call on Him. Meanwhile Cameron is a private investigator and just continues to find glitches in Jade’s story. Finally she remembers, there was someone behind her on the path and that person could be alone and hurt. Cameron still not trusting her decides to go with her to see what they find.
Meanwhile the book keeps alternating to a second plot about a man who jumped off the top of a waterfall after Gentry who we know as Jade. He has been thrown by the waterfall into a sunken lava cave. He continuously prays for Gentry’s safety and health and his own as well.
This book was fabulous. It’s well written and kept me on the edge of my seat. The way the author made the characters seem so real I felt like I knew them. The way the characters had a real relationship with God as their Father and relied on Him was incredible and so hard to find in books nowadays!
