Inspirational Romance

CHOCOLATE BEACH by Julie Carobini

Brianna Stone has been married to Douglas for fourteen incredible years. Brianna just isn’t sure her husband feels the same. Brianna works as the guide on a tour bus which leaves her time to be mom to their thirteen old son, Nathan. In the beginning Gaby, Brianna’s best friend, breaks up with her boyfriend and Brianna and her commiserate the only way they know how, with chocolate. Not just any chocolate but they always make Aunt Dot’s homemade brownies. Brianna caught off guard when Douglas’ mother, Mona, drops by while the brownie making mess is still everywhere. Brianna has never felt up to snuff enough for Mona. And when Mona hints that she’s aware they are considering moving, Brianna is shocked and knows of no such plans. As if that’s not enough Mona has brought an interior designer with her to help Brianna fix up the beach home they own. br>
The story continues with Brianna’s struggles at work with a new boss. And her constant concern that she’s just not good enough for her husband. She isn’t seeing much of him since he’s busy with work and she’s starting to let those little concerns snowball.

From this book I learned to share my concerns with my husband, unlike Brianna who did not at the beginning. The book was also fun and just an easy read. It seemed like I was just reading about friends of mine and spending time with them.
