Wayne Hammond had a simple dream -- run his ranch and business and find the one woman who would be happy to be a rancher's wife and have his children. He thought he had found it with Alicia, yet she never wanted any part of the his world or wanted children. It seemed that his dream was never to happen, never until Maggie Sinclair came back to Tucker.
Maggie Sinclair had left Tucker to find her dreams only to come back now after a bitter divorce. Come back home to find a way to start over again and start life again single. The years seemed to melt away when Maggie walked into the room, and Wayne seemed to find an attraction to the girl he had always felt something for but felt he was out of her class. Looking into Wayne's brown eyes Maggie could melt right on the spot and she found herself drawn to this man. Though she made it clear that she was not here to stay, Wayne knew she was the one and somehow someway he would find a way to make her stay.
Maggie Sinclair's character walks into the first few pages and captures not only the eye of everyone in the school board meeting but Wayne's heart also. Yes her failed marriage and the scares were still fresh but when the cowboy looks at her the years melt away and ............. well, you get the idea.
I like the plot and the secondary characters, and though secondary still play a vital part in the story. When Maggie seeks Wayne's help on a budget vote she finds a man she and many others don't see, a man who has many facets and interests and yet the Wayne she is strongly drawn to. This is not a simple story of two people who lost at love the first time around. I feel it is a story of two people who find love and both their dreams come true. An excellent book and one that is worth reading.
