In this third installment for the Claire series, novelist Claire Everett and finance Greg Lewis are planning the wedding. And practical Claire falls in love with a too expensive gown that she just must have. With her writing career in decline, she’s got to come up with a way to buy the gown... without putting an extra financial burden on Greg and/or the wedding budget. And of course she does, as only Claire can with a series of wacky odd jobs.
In between planning the wedding, doing the odd jobs, parenting and just the jumble of life, Claire finds turning to God is the only way to fix things. And, she’s on the right path until Greg decides the honeymoon has to wait for his schedule – how will they get past this hurdle? And, will the two families be able to blend? Will she be able to buy the dress?
I loved this book just as much as the first book. Often times in a series the third book peters out...but not this time. I Love Claire starts and finishes with laughter, tension and just what we expect from Ms. Bateman’s pen.
