Cursed to roam as a wolf, and be man only three days of the full moon, Vali knew no family or friend. The wolf made him roam from people, and when the full moon returned, he would be far from where he had been on the last full moon.
When he hears a cry for help, Vali immediately comes to the aid of Deltinica and her father Decoro. Heedless of his naked state, he is amused by Deltinica’s reaction to him. It has been years since his last contact with any human, and he yearns to be able to stay with her and the work she offers.
All Vali can do is stay with her the three days that his curse allows, knowing that he will never see her again. As the days pass, Vali craves Deltinica more than just as a person to talk with, but as a woman, his mate, but he knows the wolf will overtake him again, and move him far from here, and further than he can return in the three days of the next moon.
VALI’S CURSE is part of the Origins to the world that L Shannon has created. This story is actually a history to the Valafrn series explaining why Vali was cursed, how it affected him, and the love between Vali and Deltinica. The romance portion of their story is complete, however, there is more to the history that I expect will be seen in future stories, based on the information I’ve seen on her website. I eagerly await the future chapters of the Origins of the Valafrn.
