Since her mother died before she could pass on her knowledge and religious beliefs, Allie has had to make due with an old journal through which she learned a little about the Lady. Yet it is not until Betina, an old friend of her mother’s, shows up and explains that Allie must give herself in service to the Lady that Allie really begins to gain insight into her mother and the power that is inside her. On All Hallow’s Eve, Allie and Betina climb up a wooded hill to a sacred stone circle to hold the ceremony. There Allie fulfills her destiny and finds twin alpha werewolves, Rafe and Tim, who are there to protect her, show her how to use her magic, and love her.
Yet an ancient evil plots to kill the newest priestess of the Lady. With dark, powerful magic and a vengeful vampire, it tracks Allie and her twin alphas and only with the help they find in the most unexpected places will they be able to defeat the evil.
Lords of the Were, the first in Biana D’Arc's new Tales of the Were series, definitely grabs your attention. I especially enjoyed Allie with her insecurities about herself, especially when faced with two gorgeous alpha werewolves. With their help and demonstrations of their love, she quickly comes into her own and becomes a powerful woman in her own right. Rafe and Tim are dominant men if ever there were some yet that dominance is tempered with an obvious affection and love for Allie. Along with some of the steamiest sexual encounters, the plot will keep your interest right up until the end. Lords of the Were has fabulous characters and a twisting, turning, engaging plot, making this is one tale you don’t want to miss!
